Coffee Fruit Cake Recipe





This insanely delicious fruit cake is traditionally prepared using icing sugar. However, for those who cannot get hold of this coffee, we have simplified the procedure and laid out an easy recipe using which anybody can prepare this cake recipe. All you need to make this amazing coffee-flavoured fruit cake is - self-raising flour, cocoa powder, any coffee powder, milk, granulated sugar and coffee essence apart from coffee essence. First, just like any other fruit cake, you need to soak the dry fruits in coffee overnight for a rich flavour. You can either make coffee using milk or simply mix the powder in the milk and stir well. The next day, prepare the cake batter using the other ingredients and bake the cake for 50 minutes straight. You will have a beautiful brown-coloured Coffee Fruit Cake with an aroma that no one can resist!

  • 1 cup self raising flour

  • 3 tablespoon cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon coffee essence

  • 3 cup mixed dry fruits

  • 2 tablespoon coffee powder

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 1/2 cup milk



How to make Coffee Fruit Cake

  • Step 1 Soak mixed dry fruits in coffee mixture To prepare this amazingly delicious coffee-flavoured cake, take a large bowl and add mixed dry fruits in it of your choice. Add coffee essence, coffee powder, and milk in it. Mix well all the ingredients and cover the bowl with a cling film and let the dry fruits soak overnight.

  • Step 2 Preheat the oven On the next day, preheat the oven at 160 degrees C. Then, take a large cake tin and line it with a baking paper. Once done, keep this tin aside.

  • Step 3 Prepare the cake batter To prepare the cake batter, add self-raising flour, cocoa powder, and sugar in the soaked dry fruits mixture and mix well. The cake batter is ready and ready to bake.

  • Step 4 Bake the cake for 50-55 minutes Pour the cake batter in the cake tin and bake for about 50-55 minutes. Check using a toothpick after 50 minutes. If the cake is still remaining to be baked, cook for about 5-7 minutes and your cake will be done. Enjoy!
